Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Manufacturing, Mechanical, or related field.
• 3–5 years’ experience in electronics manufacturing with SMT/PCBA exposure.
• Strong knowledge of SMT equipment programming and process optimization.
• Experience with project management methods and tools.
• Data analysis, problem solving, and continuous improvement capabilities.
• Good cross-functional communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead SMT & PCBA development projects and ensure on-time delivery.
• Prepare process documentation for new projects (PFMEA, Process Flow, Work Instructions).
• Collaborate with project managers and customers on technical requirements.
• Optimize cost and yield across NPI activities.
• Oversee transition to SOP and first production.
• Perform root cause analysis and corrective actions.

About the Role

The NPI Engineer (SMT & PCBA) oversees the SMT & PCBA production and manufacturing process of new products during development stage. He/ She will provide engineering support and monitor status or progress of new project to ensure effective execution according with customer requirement.

Job Description:

Create & Prepare document related on process for project quotation with optimize the cost/investment possible.

Lead the New Project for SMT & PCBA during development stage & works alongside project managers and project coordinators to ensure the successful completion of a project.

Discuss and follow up with customer for new product requirement on technical issue & acknowledge customer’s requirement and expectation and create a strategy to produce the project sample per request by customer.

Conduct studies for all the problem findings and root cause study.

Entertain customer for Buy Off & Audit line production for new project.

Ensure project is successfully delivered with optimize the cost/investment and good yield.

Lead the operation team for NPI during development stage until first Start of Production (SOP).

Design and study the SMT & PCBA process manufacturing for new project during development stage.

Prepare the document related (Process Flow, PFMEA, Work Instruction, CP and etc.) for new project awarded.

Qualification & Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Manufacturing, Mechanical, or related engineering field.

Minimum 3–5 years of experience in electronics manufacturing, with hands‑on exposure to SMT and PCBA processes.

Strong knowledge of SMT equipment programming, process optimization, and defect analysis.

Full understanding and experience of Project Management methods and tools.

Experience in technical design, process development and project management.

Proficiency in data analysis, problem‑solving, and continuous improvement methodologies.

Good communication skills and ability to work cross‑functionally.
