Job summary

Ichia Technologies, INC. seeks an experienced NPI Engineer to manage New Product Introductions from development through mass production. You will coordinate with R&D, Production, Quality, and suppliers to ensure launches meet quality, cost, and schedule requirements.

You will develop manufacturing processes, work instructions, and documentation, and lead validation activities to enable a smooth ramp-up while supporting continuous improvement initiatives and design-for-manufacturing efforts.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field.
Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred; electronics manufacturing experience is an added advantage.
Knowledge of NPI processes, APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plan, Process Flow, DOE, and Lean Manufacturing is preferred.
Familiarity with ECO/ECN, DFM, and production validation processes.
Ability to read engineering drawings, technical specifications, and Bills of Materials (BOM).
Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP/MRP systems; CAD software knowledge is an advantage.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and project coordination skills.
Able to work independently and collaborate in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in English and Mandarin (spoken and written) is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate New Product Introduction (NPI) projects from development to mass production.
Collaborate with R&D, Production, Quality, Procurement, Planning, and customers for successful launches.
Develop and validate manufacturing processes, WI, SOPs, and production documentation.
Prepare and maintain project schedules, timelines, and NPI progress reports.
Conduct process validation, trial runs, and FAI to ensure product readiness.
Identify and resolve technical and manufacturing issues during NPI through root cause analysis.
Support DFM, DFA, and DFQ initiatives.
Coordinate ECOs and ECNs.
Participate in APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plan, and Process Flow development.
Monitor yield, process capability, and readiness for ramp-up.
Work with suppliers and internal stakeholders for materials, tooling, and equipment readiness.
Drive continuous improvement to enhance quality and cost efficiency.
Ensure compliance with quality standards, customer requirements, and safety regulations.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Engineering Manager.
