Job summary

Renesas Electronics Corp. is seeking an NPI Engineer to support new product introduction from development to mass production.

You will ensure product readiness, oversee engineering builds, and manage process and test validation to achieve smooth ramp-up while collaborating with cross-functional teams. Responsibilities include leading global product transfer, coordinating with Development Engineering and Operations, and driving design-for-manufacture improvements to maintain high quality and cost

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical/ Electronics, Mechatronics or related)
• Experience with Automated Test Systems (ATE) is a plus (ETS364, 93K, Diamondx, ETS800, Flex module tester)
• Solid knowledge of analog, digital, and mixed-signal electronics
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities
• Ability to work in a fast-paced semiconductor manufacturing environment
• Excellent cross-functional communication and time‑management skills
• Willingness to support on‑call duties and manage multiple tasks

Responsibilities

• Work with Operations, Manufacturing Engineering and production teams to ensure manufacturing readiness and successful product launches.
• Serve as the NPI liaison between Development Engineering and Operations, driving products from development to release.
• Coordinate global transfer of products and processes to ensure consistent implementation.
• Partner with Product Development to meet design, manufacturing, and phase-gate commitments.
• Develop and execute project plans including equipment selection, capacity planning, cost reduction and waste management.
• Prepare process documentation and support qualification builds and product launches.
• Influence product and process design to deliver safe, high-quality, manufacturable solutions via cross-functional collaboration.
• Assist with audits and continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, cost and efficiency.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
