Job summary

AMD is seeking a New Product Introduction (NPI) Product Engineer in Penang, Malaysia, to drive next‑generation Data Centre Graphics products. You will collaborate with global teams to define, characterize, and deliver solutions that meet cost, yield, and quality targets through the development lifecycle.

The role requires strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, independent contribution, and effective communication across distributed teams.

Qualifications

• Analytical thinkers who can plan experiments and drive teams to execution.
• Experience interpreting complex data to draw technical conclusions.
• Solid grounding in electrical/computer engineering concepts and design.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on silicon characterization, analysis and debugging to meet cost, yield and quality targets.
• Own inputs to design issues and provide data-driven feedback to design teams.
• Lead cross-functional execution to achieve product requirements.
• Support technical discussions impacting product performance and manufacturability.
• Execute product Test, Cost and Quality gate activities aligned with milestones.
• Provide root-cause analysis for customer-reported issues and drive resolutions.
• Support manufacturing readiness through wafer sort and test methodologies.
