Job summary

KLCC (Holdings) Sdn Bhd is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to oversee plant equipment upkeep, including chillers, pumps, boilers and turbines. You will plan and supervise maintenance tasks, perform troubleshooting and support RCA activities to ensure reliability and compliance with safety standards.

The role requires 3+ years of relevant experience, with proficiency in P&ID interpretation and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• At least 3 years' working experience in related field, preferably from plant or large facility.
• Experience with Mechanical Equipment such as Chiller, Pumps, Cooling Tower, Boiler, Gas Turbine, Gas Compressor, Air Compressor, Vessel, Valve, Piping.
• Able to interpret Process and Instrument Diagram (P&ID).
• Familiar with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Responsible for Mechanical equipment maintenance for all Plant equipment.
• Organize, supervise and execute maintenance activities to improve maintainability, reliability and availability.
• Troubleshoot and reinstate equipment breakdowns; assist RCA and related analyses.
• Involve in project punch lists, final documentation and regulatory compliance.
• Supervise contractors and provide mentorship to peers and trainees.
• Ensure tools and workshop are kept in good order and safe.

Job description

Maximizing yield, preservation and enhancement of overall asset performance through the optimization of cost and resources in compliance with safety, quality and statutory requirements within the framework of standard operating procedures and key performance standards to ensure customer’s comfort and satisfaction. It is critical for the plant to supply on-specification chilled water and meeting all customers cooling load demand.

Main Accountabilities

Responsible and accountable for Mechanical equipment maintenance for all Plant equipment such as Chiller, Cooling Tower, Boiler, Gas Turbine, Gas Compressor, Air Compressor, Pumps, Vessel, Valve, Piping, customer equipment and auxiliary equipment. Organize, supervise and execute maintenance activities to achieve better maintainability, reliability, and availability of equipment.

Executing troubleshoot and reinstate equipment breakdown. Assist Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Critical Spare Analysis, Bad Actor Management exercise whenever required.

Involve in project punch list, final documentation, defect list and all technical related issues such as design, regulatory compliance, records etc.

Provide supervision to contractor, supervision, guidance, knowledge sharing and coaching to pear and trainee.

Responsible on tools and equipment in good order, tidiness of workshop and workplace

As and when required and deemed by management to support GDCP long-term plan and growth strategy, staff may be required to plan, perform, execute and complete tasks related to Operation, Maintenance, Project, HSSE, and General Building Maintenance.

Enforce Group Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) rules and regulations. Cooperate with superiors, pears and other departments/sections.

Requirements

Qualification

Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.

Experience

At least three (3) years working experience in related field, preferably from plant or large facility environment.

Experienced in executing maintenance activities for Mechanical Equipment such as Chiller, Pumps, Cooling Tower, Boiler, Gas Turbine, Gas Compressor, Air Compressor, Vessel, Valve, Piping.

Working experienced in large Electrical Chillers, Steam Absorption Chillers and Direct Fired Chiller (>500RT).

Familiar with Microsoft Office, Excel and Power Point - Basic level

Able to interpret Process and Instrument Diagram (P&ID).

Organizing maintenance activities. Minimize unplanned shutdowns.

Specific competency is added advantages – Vibration certification etc.
