Job summary

Techdata Systems Sdn Bhd is seeking a Junior or Senior Pre-Sales Engineer to support our sales team in promoting network security solutions in Malaysia. The role requires a solid technical background in network security and excellent communication skills to translate complex concepts for diverse audiences.

You will collaborate with the product and sales teams, deliver product demonstrations and proofs of concept, respond to technical inquiries, and help ensure successful project outcomes.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 1-2 years of experience in network security or related field.
• Strong knowledge of network security protocols and technologies (switching/routing, LAN/WAN, wireless, firewall, DNS, VPN, SD-WAN).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences.
• Willingness to travel and own transportation.

Responsibilities

• Work with sales team to understand clients' network security needs and recommend solutions.
• Provide technical expertise during pre-sales, including product demonstrations, proofs of concept, and responding to technical inquiries.
• Stay up-to-date with latest advancements in network security and apply to pre-sales process.
• Collaborate with product team to provide feedback on features and latest release based on client feedback and industry trends.
• Attend trade shows and events to represent the company and promote our network security solutions.
• Lead projects and ensure successful project closure on-time, including client kick-off meetings, planning and configuration, knowledge transfer and documentation.
• Respond to technical support and maintenance requirements, including troubleshooting, incident response, firmware upgrades, operational maintenance, preventive maintenance.
• Be proactive in solving issues by working closely with superior and supplier's technical team for support, knowledge sharing and troubleshooting.
