Job summary

Capgemini in Malaysia is seeking a Network Security Engineer to support, maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize enterprise security infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess strong networking fundamentals and hands-on experience with Cisco security technologies, security operations, access control, and perimeter security solutions.

The role requires excellent troubleshooting abilities, customer-facing communication skills, and the capability to manage multiple technical engagements

Qualifications

  • Strong networking fundamentals including LAN switching, routing and TCP/IP concepts.
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco security technologies such as ASA, FTD, FMC, ISE, ESA, WSA and AnyConnect.
  • Knowledge of NAT, security zoning, VPNs and Identity and Access Management concepts.
  • Perimeter security architecture understanding.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Strong written, verbal and presentation communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, support and troubleshoot enterprise network security solutions.
  • Manage Cisco security platforms including firewalls, identity services and remote access technologies.
  • Analyze, diagnose and resolve complex network and security incidents.
  • Configure and support NAT, VPNs, zoning and security policies.
  • Monitor and optimize network security performance, availability and reliability.
  • Support high-availability and failover configurations for critical security infrastructure.
  • Implement and maintain identity and access management controls.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security solutions into enterprise environments.
  • Provide technical guidance, documentation and knowledge transfer to customers and internal teams.
  • Participate in incident management, root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Deliver technical presentations and communicate effectively with stakeholders at various levels.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled Network Security Engineer to support, maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize enterprise security infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess strong networking fundamentals and hands-on experience with Cisco security technologies, security operations, access control, and perimeter security solutions. The role requires excellent troubleshooting abilities, customer-facing communication skills, and the capability to manage multiple technical engagements simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, support, and troubleshoot enterprise network security solutions.
  • Manage and maintain Cisco security platforms including firewalls, identity services, and remote access technologies.
  • Analyze, diagnose, and resolve complex network and security incidents.
  • Configure and support Network Address Translation (NAT), VPNs, zoning, and security policies.
  • Monitor and optimize network security performance, availability, and reliability.
  • Support high-availability and failover configurations for critical security infrastructure.
  • Implement and maintain identity and access management controls.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security solutions into enterprise environments.
  • Provide technical guidance, documentation, and knowledge transfer to customers and internal teams.
  • Participate in incident management, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Deliver technical presentations and communicate effectively with stakeholders at various levels.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Strong understanding of networking fundamentals including - LAN Switching, Routing, TCP/IP networking concepts
  • Hands-on experience in any Cisco Security technologies, including - Cisco ASA, Cisco Firepower Threat Defense (FTD), Cisco Firepower Management Center (FMC), Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE), Cisco Email Security Appliance (ESA), Cisco Web Security Appliance (WSA), Cisco AnyConnect
  • Strong knowledge of: NAT (Network Address Translation), Security zoning, VPN technologies (Site-to-Site and Remote Access), Identity and Access Management concepts
  • Solid understanding of perimeter security architecture and design principles.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
Experience Level
  • 3–7+ years of experience in Network Security, Security Operations, or Security Support roles with hands-on exposure to Cisco security technologies.
  • Solid understanding of perimeter security architecture and design principles.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
