Job summary

Gigaspeed Technology Sdn Bhd is seeking a Network/Project Engineer to design, coordinate and deliver ELV and IT infrastructure projects in Selangor. You will manage supervisors and technicians, prepare schedules, BOMs, and QA documents, and ensure on-site execution meets quality and safety standards.

The role requires a Diploma/Degree in CS/IT/Telecom or Electrical Eng, plus 3+ years in project coordination within Structured Cabling/IT&E.

Qualifications

• Diploma/degree in CS/IT/Telecom or Electrical Eng.
• Familiar with IT infrastructure, networking hardware/software and ELV such as CCTV, Card Access.
• Visio, AutoCAD and MS Project familiarity is an advantage.
• Strong people management and communication skills.
• Independent, pro-active with a can-do attitude.
• Minimum 3 years experience in project co-ordination/management in Structured Cabling, IT/M&E with on-site experience.
• Highly organized, able to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare design and schematic drawings, project schedules, bills of material requisition, QA documents and installation reports.
• Organize, manage and monitor team of supervisors/technicians or sub-contractors for respective projects and sites.
• Ensure successful execution of projects within the required time frame, compliant to quality standards and SOPs.
• Liaise with customer or third parties to coordinate work for smooth project implementation.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure work quality and site safety compliance.
• Prepare progressive and final project documentations before handover.
• Provide pre-sales/site surveys and technical support as needed.
• Prepare weekly/monthly reports reflecting site progress.
• Plan daily tasks for the team as assigned by management.
• Monitor site progress and report obstructions or issues.
• ELV System Configuration (Security, IT Infrastructure, Barrier Gate).
• Assist in managing and maintaining the company’s IT infrastructure.
• Provide technical support for hardware, software, and network issues.
• Carry out other instructions related to site or project.

NETWORK/PROJECT ENGINEER

JOB REQUIREMENT

• Diploma / Degree Computer Science, Telecommunication / Information Technology or Electrical Engineering
• Knowledge in IT infrastructure, networking hardware/software and wireless communications, ELV such as CCTV, Card Access System, etc. is preferred.
• Familiar with construction drawings, skills on VISIO, AUTOCAD and MS Project Applications will be added advantage.
• Strong people management and communication skills

• Minimum 3 years experience on project co-ordination or management in Structured Cabling, IT / M&E industry with relevant on-site experience

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare design and schematic drawings, project schedules, bills of material requisition, quality assurance documents and installation reports.
• Organize, manage and monitor team of supervisors/technicians or sub-contractors for respective projects and sites to ensure targeted progress are achieved.
• Ensure successful execution of projects within the required time frame, according to the agreed designs, compliant to company quality standards and operating procedures.
• Liaise with customer or third parties to co-ordinate work necessary to ensure smooth project implementation.
• To conduct regular inspections to ensure work quality and strict adherence to site safety and health requirements.
• Prepare necessary progressive and final project documentations before project handover.
• May from time to time provide pre-sales assistance to conduct site surveys and technical support to sales personnel.
• Prepare weekly and monthly reports reflecting site progress.
• Plan daily tasks for the team as assigned by management.
• Monitor site progress and promptly report any obstructions or issues.
• ELV System Configuration (Security System, IT Infrastructure, and Barrier Gate System)
• Assist in managing and maintaining the company’s IT infrastructure, including network systems, servers, computers, printers, and related hardware.
• Provide technical support for hardware, software, and network-related issues for internal users.
• Carry out other instructions related to the site or project as directed by the management.
