Job summary

Pride Global in Malaysia is seeking a Network Data Center Engineer with deep experience in Routing & Switching, Cisco Catalyst and Nexus in a hybrid environment. The role requires hands-on expertise in Wireless and VMware NSX/DFW.

You will design, implement, troubleshoot, and optimize data center networking while collaborating with Server, Security, Cloud, and Application teams to resolve end-to-end issues.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in Routing & Switching, Cisco Catalyst, and Nexus.
• 4+ years of hands-on experience with Enterprise Wireless.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with VMware NSX, DFW, and Firewall.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, configure, and troubleshoot enterprise Routing & Switching environments.
• Provide expert-level support for Cisco Catalyst and Nexus switches in data center and enterprise environments.
• Troubleshoot Layer 2/Layer 3 connectivity, routing, switching, and performance issues.
• Manage and support Wireless infrastructure, including configuration, troubleshooting, and optimization.
• Support VMware NSX, Distributed Firewall (DFW), and network virtualization environments.
• Troubleshoot connectivity and security issues across physical and virtual network infrastructure.
• Collaborate with Server, VMware, Security, Cloud, and Application teams for end-to-end resolution.
• Support network changes, migrations, upgrades, and infrastructure improvement projects.
• Participate in incident, problem, and root-cause analysis.
• Maintain network documentation and diagrams.

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Network Data Center Engineer with strong expertise in enterprise networking and data center technologies. The ideal candidate should be an expert in Routing & Switching, Cisco Catalyst, and Cisco Nexus, with hands‑on experience in Wireless and VMware NSX/DFW.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, configure, and troubleshoot enterprise Routing & Switching environments.
• Provide expert‑level support for Cisco Catalyst and Nexus switches in data center and enterprise environments.
• Troubleshoot complex Layer 2/Layer 3 connectivity, routing, switching, and performance issues.
• Manage and support enterprise Wireless infrastructure, including configuration, troubleshooting, and optimization.
• Support VMware NSX, Distributed Firewall (DFW), and network virtualization environments.
• Troubleshoot connectivity and security issues across physical and virtual network infrastructure.
• Work closely with Server, VMware, Security, Cloud, and Application teams for end‑to‑end issue resolution.
• Support network changes, migrations, upgrades, and infrastructure improvement projects.
• Participate in incident management, problem management, and root‑cause analysis.
• Maintain network documentation, diagrams, configurations, and operational procedures.

Technical Requirements

• 7+ years of strong experience in Routing & Switching, Cisco Catalyst, and Cisco Nexus.
• 4+ years of hands‑on experience with Enterprise Wireless.
• 5+ years of hands‑on experience with VMware NSX, DFW, and Firewall.
• Strong knowledge of Data Center Networking.
• Fair/working knowledge of Firewalls and Load Balancers.
• Conceptual understanding of DNS and SD‑WAN.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Experience working in large‑scale enterprise or data center environments.

Preferred Certifications

• VMware NSX certification is an advantage.

Ideal Candidate

A senior network professional who can independently handle complex R&S, Catalyst, and Nexus issues, with strong practical knowledge of NSX/DFW and Wireless, and sufficient understanding of Firewall, Load Balancer, DNS, and SD‑WAN to support end‑to‑end data center operations.

Experience:
