Scicom MSC Berhad is seeking a backend developer in Kuala Lumpur to design, build, and maintain scalable services using NestJS/Node.js. You will create secure RESTful APIs and GraphQL endpoints, integrate with MongoDB, and implement robust authentication mechanisms.

Qualifications

• 3+ years backend development with NestJS/Node.js.
• Strong MongoDB schema design and indexing.
• TypeScript and modern JavaScript proficiency.
• Understanding of microservices and service-to-service communication.
• API security best practices and tokens.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes or AWS.
• Hands-on CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions/Jenkins/GitLab CI).
• Strong debugging and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain backend services with NestJS/Node.js.
• Develop secure RESTful APIs and GraphQL endpoints.
• Integrate with MongoDB, optimize queries and indexing.
• Implement authentication/authorization (JWT, OAuth2, SSO).
• Collaborate with frontend teams for end-to-end solutions.
• Participate in microservices architecture discussions.
• Write clean code with unit/integration tests.
• Troubleshoot performance and reliability issues.
• Work with DevOps on CI/CD and deployments.
