Sourceo Pte Ltd in Malaysia seeks a Manager, Data Centre Engineering Support to lead the in-country DCES team and drive strategic goals for availability, sustainability and efficiency. You will liaise with internal and external stakeholders while complying with group policies and standards.

The role requires 10+ years in critical facilities, strong MEP knowledge, and a track record in certification programs; ITIL incident management experience is essential.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or degree in Mechanical & Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Professional certifications preferred (SCEM, LEED GA, LEED AP, etc.).
  • Additional certifications such as ITIL are advantageous.
  • At least 10 years in managing critical facilities in 24x7 DC environments.
  • Strong knowledge of MEP and building facilities systems.
  • Experience in incident, problem and change management processes.
  • Proven track record in leading certification programs (ANSI/TIA-942, LEED, ISO).
  • Willing to work beyond standard office hours when required.

  • Ensure compliance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Support customer audits and provide management information.
  • Handle any other duties as assigned by Management.

MYS, Johor | Manager, Data Centre Engineering Support

Manage the delivery of best-in-class engineering support services for the in-country Data Centre Operations team through collaboration with internal and external stakeholders for meeting STT GDC's goals for availability, sustainability, efficiency, governance and customer satisfaction while also taking guidance and complying to STT GDC Group DCO policies and standards.

  • Provides leadership for the 'in-country' DCES team and assist in the planning, development and implementation of strategic goals.
  • Assists Director, DC Operations with managing the team's performance, including goals setting, performance review, learning & development, etc..
  • Be the Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing Subject Matter Expert for in-country Data Centre Operations team.
  • Champion the Problem Management process, and to be the rotating duty Incident Manager in accordance with the ITIL framework.
  • Be the energy manager for performing technical and managerial functions in the areas of energy audits, energy management, energy saving programs, energy engineering works, energy saving retrofitting works and financial advisory for energy efficiency measures.
  • Responsible and accountable for procurement of technical services and works, contract management and administration of existing service agreements & renewals.
  • Be the program manager responsible and accountable from planning to certification for all technical certification programs, including ISO, ANSI/TIA-942, LEEDs, green building, etc.
  • Collaborates with the Technology & Project Delivery team for improving maintainability and built quality.
  • Develop, verify and review technical policies, processes, procedure and work instructions, including maintenance framework and best practices.
  • Develop the framework for ensuring full compliance with applicable legal, regulatory and other requirements in relation to building operations and maintenance.
  • Champion technical learning and development programs for 'in-country' Data Centre Operations.
  • To support customer technical audits and provide management information as required.
  • Any other duties or projects as assigned by the Management.

Requirements
  • Diploma or Degree in Mechanical & Electrical Engineering, Facilities Management or qualification in a related field with proven track record.
  • Professional certifications such as SCEM, GMM, GMFM, GMP, GMFP, LEED GA, LEED AP, GBC GA, GBC GP or other relevant credentials are preferred.
  • Additional certifications such as CDFOM, CDFOS, CDCE, CDCS, ITIL or equivalent are an advantage.
  • At least 10 years’ relevant work experience in managing critical facilities development or operations as well as project management in 24x7 DC environment.
  • Strong knowledge of MEP operations and building facilities related systems, such as Switchgears, UPS, Generators, CRAUs, etc.
  • Proven track record in leading certification programs, including ANSI/TIA-942, Uptime, BCA-IDA Green Mark, LEED, ISO, etc.
  • Willing to work beyond standard office hours when required.
  • Experience in incident management, problem management and change management process.
  • Solid capabilities in project management, program management, contracts management and vendor management.
  • Familiar with energy management and capacity management.
  • Understanding of environmental, health and safety management.
  • Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia (both written and spoken).
  • Proficient in MS Office – Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint.
  • Proficient in Power BI.
