Job summary

Deloitte Malaysia is seeking a capable finance associate to join our accounting team. You will prepare journal entries, assist in month-end and year-end closes, and perform reconciliations across accounts, inter‑company and banks while supporting audits and tax documentation.

Fresh graduates or 1–2 years of experience are welcome. Proficiency in SAP4HANA and advanced MS Excel is advantageous, with a strong eye for detail and the ability to work independently.

Qualifications

• Excellent analytical thinking and attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Added advantage: Proficient in SAP4HANA and advanced MS Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepares journal entries workflow to support financial reports for monthly, quarterly and annually.
• Supports month-end and year-end accounting close processes.
• Performs account, inter‑company and bank reconciliation.
• Monitors and analyses general ledger accounts for accruals made, checks for discrepancies if any.
• Supports the annual audit process by preparing relevant schedules and documentation.
• Supports the annual tax compliance submission by preparing relevant schedules and documentation.
• Supports any tax audits (SST, tax compliance), if any.
• Performs other tasks that may be assigned from time to time.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance or similar courses.

ACCA/ICAEW/CPA is an advantage.
