Job summary

Lam Research in Penang, Malaysia seeks a data analytics support professional to develop automation solutions and enhance decision making. You will support UAT, documentation, and end-user trainings within a global operations context.

Role requires SQL, Power BI and data analysis skills with a willingness to learn. Lam offers hybrid work with on-site and remote balance as part of two location models.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering/CS or equivalent.
• Strong SQL scripting and ability to write complex queries and data analysis scripts.
• Familiarity with databases and reporting tools such as Power BI.
• Basic knowledge of Machine Learning concepts is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development of automation solutions to support data analytics and decision making.
• Conduct UAT, create documentation and provide trainings to end users.
• Perform system sustaining and continuous improvement activities.
• Handle additional duties as required.

Joining the team is an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of business process transformation and to provide essential analytical support to the Regional Business Operations team.

What You’ll Do

• Assist in development of automation solutions to support and enhance the data analytics and decision makings.
• Responsible to conduct UAT, documentation and provide trainings to end users.
• Perform system sustaining and continuous improvement.
• Perform any other tasks and duties as required

Who We’re Looking For

• Bachelor Degree in Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent
• Strong to excellent SQL scripting skills with experience writing complex queries, joins, stored procedures, and data analysis scripts.
• Familiarity with databases, data management, and reporting tools such as Power BI.
• Basic knowledge of Machine Learning concepts and data analytics is an advantage.
• Strong analytical mindset, problem-solving skills, and willingness to learn.

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on‑site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On‑site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On‑site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on‑site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1‑2 days per week on‑site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
