Job summary

Amazing Spectrum Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a creative Animator who blends traditional techniques with AI tools to boost efficiency and production workflows. You will design and produce high-quality 2D and 3D animations for campaigns and immersive experiences.

The role requires a strong motion graphics portfolio and experience with After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop, Blender, and Unreal Engine, plus familiarity with projection mapping tools.

Qualifications

• Min education is Certificates / Vocational / Diploma.
• Proven experience as a 2D and 3D Animator, with a strong portfolio showcasing motion graphics and immersive projects (e.g. Projection Mapping, Anamorphic 3D, or VR/AR content).
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
• Able to converse in English well.
• Ability to speak Mandarin is a strong advantage.
• Expertise in industry-standard software for 2D motion graphics (e.g. After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop) and 3D animation (e.g. Blender and Unreal Engine).
• Basic to intermediate understanding of AI tools in creative production.
• Familiarity with concepts in generative AI.
• Optimize animation pipelines using automation and AI-assisted processes.
• Stay updated with trends in Animation and AI technologies.
• Ability to adapt to new tools and workflows quickly.
• Strong understanding of animation principles, spatial design, and perspective techniques for immersive environments.
• Experience with Projection Mapping Tools (e.g., MadMapper, Resolume, TouchDesigner) is a huge plus.
• A Creative Problem-solver who can adapt to technical challenges and tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a passion for teamwork.
• Experience in live events, experiential marketing, or interactive installations is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Design and animate stunning 2D motion graphics for digital campaigns, explainer videos, and interactive content.
• Create breathtaking 3D animations for immersive experiences, including projection mapping, anamorphic 3D, and interactive installations.
• Use AI-powered tools (e.g., motion generation, auto-rigging, style transfer) to enhance animation workflows.
• Understanding of AI-driven animation techniques such as procedural animation or neural rendering.
• Collaborate with creative directors, designers, and technical teams to bring visionary concepts to life.
• Develop animations that seamlessly integrate with physical spaces, architecture, and live events.
• Experiment with cutting-edge techniques to create mind-bending visual effects and illustrations.
• Rig and animate characters, objects, and environments with a focus on realism and creativity.
• Troubleshoot and optimize animations for various platforms, including digital screens, projections, and AR/VR environments.
• Stay ahead of industry trends and explore new tools and technologies to elevate our work.
