Job summary

Amazing Spectrum Sdn Bhd is seeking a creative Animator who blends traditional animation with AI tools to produce high quality content for digital campaigns, events, and immersive installations.

You will use After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop, Blender, and Unreal Engine to create 2D and 3D animations, explore projection mapping, and optimize workflows with AI-assisted processes, while collaborating with designers and production teams.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a 2D and 3D Animator with a strong portfolio.
• Portfolio should include motion graphics, projection mapping, anamorphic 3D, or VR/AR content.
• Fresh graduates are welcome.
• Proficient in English.
• Mandarin is a strong advantage.
• Expertise in After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop; Blender and Unreal Engine for 3D animation.
• Basic to intermediate understanding of AI tools in creative production.
• Familiarity with generative AI concepts.
• Ability to adapt to new tools and workflows quickly.
• Strong understanding of animation principles, spatial design, and perspective for immersive environments.
• Experience with Projection Mapping Tools is a huge plus.
• Creative problem-solver with ability to meet deadlines and collaborate.

Responsibilities

• Design and animate stunning 2D motion graphics for digital campaigns and interactive content.
• Create breathtaking 3D animations for immersive experiences including projection mapping and VR/AR.
• Use AI-powered tools to enhance animation workflows and efficiency.
• Explore AI-driven techniques such as procedural animation or neural rendering.
• Collaborate with creative directors, designers, and technical teams to realise concepts.
• Develop animations that integrate with physical spaces, architecture, and live events.
• Experiment with cutting-edge techniques to create striking visual effects.
• Rig and animate characters, objects, and environments with realism and creativity.
• Troubleshoot and optimize animations for multiple platforms, including projections and AR/VR.
• Stay ahead of industry trends and adopt new tools to elevate work.

Job description

We’re looking for a creative and technically skilled Animator who can blend traditional animation techniques with emerging AI tools. This role involves producing high-quality animations while leveraging AI technologies to improve efficiency, creativity, and production workflows.

Requirements

• Min education is Certificates / Vocational / Diploma

• Proven experience as a 2D and 3D Animator, with a strong portfolio showcasing motion graphics and immersive projects (e.g. Projection Mapping, Anamorphic 3D, or VR/AR content).

• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply

• Able to converse in English well

• Ability to speak Mandarin is a strong advantage

• Expertise in industry-standard software for 2D motion graphics (e.g. After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop) and 3D animation (e.g. Blender and Unreal Engine).

• Basic to intermediate understanding of AI tools in creative production

• Familiarity with concepts in generative AI

• Optimize animation pipelines using automation and AI-assisted processes

• Stay updated with trends in Animation and AI technologies

• Ability to adapt to new tools and workflows quickly

• Strong understanding of animation principles, spatial design, and perspective techniques for immersive environments.

• Experience with Projection Mapping Tools (e.g., MadMapper, Resolume, TouchDesigner) is a huge plus.

• A Creative Problem-solver who can adapt to technical challenges and tight deadlines.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a passion for teamwork

• Experience in live events, experiential marketing, or interactive installations is a bonus.

• Develop animations that seamlessly integrate with physical spaces, architecture, and live events.

• Experiment with cutting-edge techniques to create mind-bending visual effects and illustrations.

• Rig and animate characters, objects, and environments with a focus on realism and creativity.

• Troubleshoot and optimize animations for various platforms, including digital screens, projections, and AR/VR environments.

• Stay ahead of industry trends and explore new tools and technologies to elevate our work.
