You will build lasting relationships, stay updated on market trends and regulations, and strive to meet or exceed sales targets while delivering exceptional customer service throughout the mortgage journey.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years' experience in mortgage lending, mortgage advisory or related financial services role.
• Strong knowledge of mortgage products, lending criteria and application process.
• Excellent communication and ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Mortgage Consultant to join the team at DREAM TRI ASSOCIATION. This is a full-time position based in Johor Bahru, Johor. As a Mortgage Consultant, you will be at the forefront of our client relationships, providing expert guidance and support to individuals and families seeking mortgage solutions. This role is strategically important to our organisation as it directly impacts client satisfaction, business growth and our reputation within the financial services sector. You will serve as a trusted adviser, helping clients navigate the complex mortgage landscape and find solutions tailored to their specific needs and financial circumstances.

What you'll be doing

• Conducting comprehensive financial assessments to understand clients' mortgage requirements and financial capability
• Presenting a range of mortgage products and solutions that align with client needs and objectives
• Explaining mortgage terms, conditions, interest rates and repayment options in clear and accessible language
• Assisting clients with mortgage applications and guiding them through the approval process
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships whilst ensuring consistent follow-up and support
• Collaborating with underwriting and compliance teams to ensure all documentation is accurate and complete
• Staying updated on mortgage products, market trends, regulatory changes and competitor offerings
• Meeting sales targets and contributing to the achievement of departmental goals
• Providing exceptional customer service and ensuring clients feel confident and supported throughout their mortgage journey

What we're looking for

• A minimum of 2–3 years' experience working in mortgage lending, mortgage advisory or a related financial services role
• Strong knowledge of mortgage products, lending criteria, and the mortgage application process
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial concepts in simple, clear terms
• Proven ability to build rapport with clients and manage client relationships professionally
• Strong numeracy skills and attention to detail when handling financial information
• Sales experience with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets
• A thorough understanding of Malaysian mortgage regulations and compliance requirements
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and mortgage software systems
• Professional qualifications in financial services, mortgage lending or banking (preferred but not essential)
• The ability to work independently whilst collaborating effectively within a team environment
