Job summary

NXP Semiconductors in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a hands-on technician to perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and setup of mold tooling systems used in high‑volume manufacturing.

The role involves mold disassembly/reassembly, equipment inspection, defect prevention, tool qualification, and supporting continuous improvement activities to achieve high equipment uptime and efficiency. A Diploma/Certificate in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or related field is required.

Qualifications

• Diploma or certificate in mechanical, mechatronics or related field.
• Experience with mold tooling, equipment maintenance or manufacturing.
• Strong troubleshooting and mechanical maintenance skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair and setup of mold tooling systems.
• Disassemble/reassemble molds and inspect equipment for defects.
• Support defect prevention and tool qualification activities.
• Assist continuous improvement to achieve high uptime and efficiency.

Requirements

• Diploma/Certificate in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or related field.

• Able to work independently and support shift operations.
• Semiconductor manufacturing experience is an advantage.
