Job summary

Robert Bosch Group in Malaysia is seeking a qualified Mechanical, Electronic or Mechatronic Engineer to join our manufacturing team in Penang (Bayan Lepas). You will plan assembly processes, define equipment specs, and support cell setup and release with a focus on quality, cost and delivery.

You will analyse performance data, contribute to PFMEA and Control Plan activities, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive OEE improvements while maintaining strong safety and reliability

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electronic, or mechatronic engineering (or equivalent).
• 2 years of manufacturing, assembly, or process engineering experience; fresh graduates welcome.
• Basic knowledge of assembly processes, PFMEA, and Control Plan.
• Strong communication and cross-cultural collaboration.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Responsibilities

• Plan assembly processes to improve manufacturing efficiency.
• Define equipment specifications and set up manufacturing cells on time and on budget.
• Evaluate equipment and process performance; prepare technical reports and trends.
• Identify process specifications and maintenance strategies for line release.
• Assist in problem solving and train technicians with senior engineers.
• Support CIP and drive improvements in safety, quality, cost & delivery.
• Develop countermeasures for technical flaws and corrective actions.
• Strive for higher OEE, FPY, MTTR, MTBF in Value Stream Organization.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Job Description

• Planning of assembly processes flow considering manufacturing efficiency.
• Define equipment specification in accordance to product specification. Setup and release manufacturing cells on time, at budget and with desired requirement under supervision of relevant assembly lead.
• Involve in each project stages to evaluate equipment and process performance. Formulate technical and/or performance reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends.
• Identify and establish process specifications, maintenance strategies and other manufacturing documents required for line release activity.
• Involve problem solving methodology in assembly processes and equipment. In meantime also developing troubleshooting guide and training of technical know-how to technician together with senior module engineers.
• Actively participate in system CIP on value disposition as in S-Q-C-D (Safety, Quality, Cost & Delivery).
• Provide effective countermeasure in technical flaw encompassed with corrective and preventive action plan.
• Study, evaluate and improve the technical capacity and capability in assembly processes accorded to customer's demand under supervision of senior module engineers.
• Continuously strive for higher and sustainable OEE, FPY, MTTR, MTBF.
• Emphasize the intensity of team work culture in VSO (Value Stream Organization) moving towards operational excellence.
• Any other duties assigned by immediate superior from time to time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electronic, Mechatronic Engineering, or equivalent.
• 2 years of working experience in manufacturing, assembly, or process engineering environment. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Basic knowledge of assembly processes, process planning, PFMEA, and Control Plan.
• Understanding of quality tools and problem-solving methodologies (e.g. 5 Why, Fishbone Diagram, 8D).
• Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional and multicultural environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia, both written and spoken.
• Self-motivated, quality-conscious, result-oriented, and willing to learn.
