Job summary

GinTech Mobile in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an experienced Mobile Phone Technician to diagnose and repair smartphones, with a focus on iPhone devices. You will work in a fast-paced shop, handling repairs from screen replacements to software troubleshooting.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Mobile Phone Technician / Smartphone Repair Technician preferred.
• Strong experience repairing iPhones is highly preferred.
• Able to independently diagnose smartphone faults.
• Experience with common component replacement and repair work.
• Good understanding of smartphone hardware and software.
• Able to use diagnostic tools and repair equipment safely.
• Careful, responsible and detail-oriented.
• Willing to learn new repair techniques and keep up with newer smartphone models.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose hardware and software faults accurately.
• Perform smartphone repairs including screen/LCD replacement, battery replacement, charging port, camera, speaker, microphone and other component replacements.
• Diagnose devices with power, charging, display, overheating and other functional issues.
• Perform device testing and quality control before and after repairs.
• Troubleshoot iOS and Android software-related issues.
• Inspect used phones and identify possible defects, replaced parts or previous repairs.
• Provide clear repair findings and recommendations to the sales/operations team.
• Maintain proper records of repairs, parts used and device condition.
• Handle customer devices carefully and professionally.
• Maintain an organised, clean and safe repair workstation.
