Job summary

ADI Resourcing seeks a Mobile Network Test Engineer in Kuala Lumpur to test cellular and wireless devices, review field and RF test results, and report to the R&D team. You will work on 5G, LTE, and GSM networks, including field and lab testing with Android platforms and various chipsets.

The role requires planning and executing test plans, bug tracking, and occasional travel to client sites to gather feedback and validate fixes. A strong foundation in mobile networks and testing is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Information Technology/Telecommunications or closely related field with 24 months of experience.
• Experience with 3GPP standards-based testing (GSM/EDGE/WCDMA/LTE/5G).
• Familiar with Android system and platforms (MTK/Spreadtrum/Qualcomm).
• Proficiency with bug-tracking systems (JIRA/Zentao/CQ).

Responsibilities

• Perform field and lab testing for 5G, LTE, WCDMA, UMTS, GSM and related networks.
• Design and execute test plans; create reports and communicate issues to R&D/QA.

About the job Mobile Network Test Engineer

Job Description:

• The role of this position encompasses a wide scope of activities and initiatives that will bring solutions to complex applications problems, system administration issues or network concerns.


• Network Engineers will work with mobile devices testing the latest features in the technology and /or telecommunication available on the market. The testing scope includes connectivity test, field test, and others as required.


• The position requires the Network Engineer to perform systems management and integration functions involving engineering work on cellular, wireless devices and systems.


• Regularly go to the market to collect users and shops complaining about the issues, get the details of the issues and feedback to R&D to solve the issues;

Requirements:

• Work on field testing on 3GPP standards based on cellular system such as GSM, EDGE, WCDMA, HSPA, LTE and 5G. The testing conducts various types of mobility and stationary RF or Software test cases in the field or lab of 5G, LTE, WCDMA, UMTS, GSM or any related with network service


• Familiar with android system and different platform (including MTK/Spreadtrum/Qualcomm).


• Ability to use bug system such as JIRA/Zentao/CQ or ect


• Research, test, monitor or verify proper functioning of software patches


• Analyze and determine issues; check the repetitive issue history, design test plans (location, models, basic parameters, considerations, etc.), field tests and/or lab tests, set test environments and parameters regarding network circumstance


• Confirm whether the issue is cleared or remained, create professional reports, and communicate with R&D or/and QA team


• Designs and performs test plans to ensure accurate and consistent product testing.


• Creation of test plans, trouble reports, automation scripts (Optionals)


• Testing of new software on the sites and make note of impacting parameters in the release and notify the R&D about them.


• Conduct and assists in the design and perform test plans to ensure accurate and consistent product testing. Work under supervision. Travel and/or relocation to unanticipated client sites throughout Country's partner is required.

EDUCATION:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/ Information Technology/Telecommunications Engineering (any) or closely related field with Twenty four (24) months of experience in the job offered or as a Network Engineer or System Engineer or closely related field.
