Atome is looking for a Site Reliability Engineer in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, to ensure the high availability of Windows infrastructure. The role involves designing AD policies, automating workflows with tools like PowerShell and Python, and providing technical guidance. The position requires shift work with competitive allowances, and the ability to communicate in English and Chinese is essential.

Job Responsibilities

• Ensure high availability and performance of Windows infrastructure, applications, and services.
• Design, architect, and implement Windows AD policies, optimization, and hardening in Windows environment.
• Automate repetitive tasks, workflows, and deployments using scripting or various technologies (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Terraform, Ansible).
• Deploy observability tools (e.g., Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, AWS CloudWatch) for system health monitoring.
• Manage workload patching strategies.
• Provide technical guidance and support across the internal team.
• Collaborate with cross-functional business unit teams to ensure processes align with organization standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in a relevant field.
• At least 5 years of hands‑on experience as an SRE, Wintel Engineer, or in a similar role.
• Expert in scripting languages like PowerShell, Python, Bash, or other similar languages.
• Experience in Wintel platforms; experience with on‑premise is a plus.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts (DNS, TCP, IP, routing) & Windows Server core services such as AD, GPO, registry keys, sysinternals.
• Familiarity with automation tools and frameworks such as Ansible, Jenkins, Terraform, CloudFormation, AWS Lambda.
• Certifications with Microsoft Windows Server, security or other infrastructure are advantageous.
• Shift rotation is required with extra compensation.
• Ability to speak and converse in both English and Chinese.

Working Hours

• 9 am – 6 pm (Monday – Friday).
• 24×7 on‑site shift rotation with competitive shift allowance (5 working days per week).
