Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a proactive Business Development professional to identify, approach, and acquire merchants to join the Gokoo platform in Johor Bahru. You will conduct market research, present company services, and build lasting relationships to enable onboarding and activation of merchants.

You will engage in registration support, document collection, and on-boarding training, aiming to meet acquisition targets while collaborating with internal teams to resolve issues and gather market

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
• Experience in Business Development, Sales, Merchant Acquisition, F&B, E-commerce, or Food Delivery will be an added advantage.
• Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
• Willing to travel and conduct outdoor/field visits within Johor Bahru.
• Possess own transportation and a valid driving licence is an added advantage.
• Proficient in Mandarin, English and Bahasa Malaysia, as the role requires communication with Mandarin-speaking merchants.
• Familiarity with the Johor Bahru F&B and local business market will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Identify, approach and acquire potential restaurants and merchants to join the Gokoo platform.
• Conduct market research and identify new business opportunities within the Johor Bahru (JB) area.
• Present and explain the Company's services, merchant partnership benefits and cooperation terms to potential merchants.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with merchants and provide ongoing support throughout the onboarding process.
• Assist merchants with registration, document collection, menu setup and store activation.
• Conduct merchant onboarding and provide basic training on the platform and operational procedures.
• Follow up with merchants to ensure a smooth activation and successful commencement of operations.
• Work closely with the Merchant Operations and relevant internal teams to resolve merchant-related issues.
• Achieve assigned merchant acquisition and activation targets.
• Maintain accurate records and provide regular updates on merchant acquisition and onboarding progress.
• Gather merchant feedback and market insights to support business growth and service improvement.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
