Job summary

Pharmaniaga is seeking a Product Specialist for the Oral Health and Dental portfolio to drive sales growth and market expansion in Selangor & KL. The role focuses on proactive customer engagement, product detailing, and collaboration with internal teams to achieve targets.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Science or Marketing and at least 2 years in the dental or pharmaceutical sector, with strong networking skills and independent work capability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Marketing, or related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years in dental or pharmaceutical sector with proven sales/marketing track record.
• Strong network liaising with healthcare professionals, government institutions, and private clinics.
• Self-driven and able to work independently with excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Possess own transport.

Responsibilities

• Achieve sales targets and market share growth through strategic product promotion and territory management.
• Plan and execute daily visits to dental clinics, hospitals, and institutions.
• Conduct product detailing, demonstrations, and hands-on sessions for individuals and groups.
• Participate in conferences, exhibitions, and trade events to boost brand visibility.
• Identify and collaborate with KOLs to strengthen brand credibility and reach.
• Work with Marketing and Commercial teams to plan campaigns and optimize product positioning.
• Monitor sales performance, competitor activities, and customer insights for strategic decisions.
• Maintain professional communication, appearance, and customer engagement at all times.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and MDA marketing guidelines.
• Maintain accurate records of sales activities and field performance.

Position: Product Specialist

Job Purpose

• The Product Specialist plays a vital role in driving sales growth and market expansion for Pharmaniaga’s Oral Health and Dental portfolio. This position is designed for proactive and result-oriented professionals who take ownership of their territories, building strong customer partnerships, identifying new opportunities, and executing impactful sales and marketing activities in alignment with company goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Achieve sales targets and market share growth through strategic product promotion and effective territory management.
• Plan and execute daily customer visits to existing and potential dental clinics, hospitals, and institutions.
• Conduct product detailing, demonstrations, hands-on sessions, one-to-one and group presentations, as well as Continuing Dental Education (CDE) or workshop activities independently.
• Participate in conferences, exhibitions, and trade events to enhance brand visibility and networking opportunities.
• Identify, engage, and collaborate with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) to strengthen brand credibility and market reach.
• Work closely with the Marketing and Commercial teams to plan campaigns, optimize product positioning, and explore new growth opportunities.
• Monitor sales performance, competitor activities, and customer insights to support strategic business decisions.
• Demonstrate professionalism in communication, appearance, and customer engagement at all times.
• Ensure full compliance with company policies, procedures, and MDA marketing guidelines.
• Maintain accurate and timely records of sales activities, customer interactions, and field performance reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Marketing, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in the dental or pharmaceutical sector (preferred), with proven track record in Sales & Marketing.
• Strong network and experience liaising with healthcare professionals, government institutions, and private clinics.
• Self-driven, proactive, and able to work independently with minimal supervision. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Possess own transport.
