Kuantan Clinical Diagnostic Centre Sdn Bhd in Kuantan, Malaysia is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to support clinical operations and patient care in a busy diagnostic centre. You will assist medical practitioners, take vital signs, prepare rooms, and help with procedures while upholding patient dignity and confidentiality.

This full-time role requires Malaysian-recognised Medical Assistant certification, CPR/BLS, strong communication, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Certification as a Medical Assistant or equivalent qualification recognised in Malaysia.
• CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain certification.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients and healthcare colleagues.
• Excellent organisational abilities and attention to detail.
• Physical fitness and stamina to perform clinical duties effectively.
• Compassionate approach to patient care with a commitment to maintaining patient dignity and confidentiality.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with clinical procedures.
• Proficiency in English; knowledge of Malay or Mandarin is advantageous.
• Previous experience in a clinical or diagnostic setting is preferred.
• Valid driving licence is desirable for potential emergency response situations.

Responsibilities

• Assist medical practitioners and paramedics during patient examinations, diagnostic procedures and emergency response situations
• Take and record patient vital signs including blood pressure, temperature, pulse rate and respiratory rate
• Prepare examination rooms and ensure all equipment is sterilised and ready for use
• Support patients in preparing for medical procedures and provide reassurance and comfort during treatment
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and medical documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations
• Assist with basic wound care, dressing changes and first aid administration under professional supervision
• Help with patient transport and mobility assistance as required
• Ensure the cleanliness and organisation of clinical areas and manage medical supplies and equipment inventory
• Answer patient enquiries and direct them to appropriate medical staff or services
• Support infection control procedures and maintain strict hygiene standards throughout the facility
• Respond to emergency situations with professionalism and follow established protocols
