Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to emergency calls and assess situations to provide medical care.

Job description

Respond promptly to emergency calls, assess the situation, and provide immediate medical care to individuals in need, including administering first aid, CPR and other life-saving techniques.

Medical Equipment Operation - Operate and maintain medical equipment, such as defibrillators, ventilators and intravenous therapy equipment, ensuring they are in working order.

Safely and efficiently transport patients to medical facilities, providing continuous care during transit and ensuring the patient's comfort.

Conduct thorough assessments of patients' medical conditions, gather relevant information, and communicate effectively with patients and their families to provide reassurance and explain the treatment plan.

Accurately document patient assessments, care provided and other relevant information in electronic medical records to ensure comprehensive medical history.

Work closely with other healthcare professionals including doctors to ensure coordinated and effective patient care.

Adhere to all relevant regulations, guidelines and protocols in the field of emergency medical services, including those established by the Ministry of Health in Malaysia.

Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in emergency medical care and attend regular training and certification programs to maintain and improve your skills.

Requirements

Diploma or Degree in Paramedicine or related field.

Valid certification as a Paramedic from a recognized institution.

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.

Compassion, empathy and the ability to remain calm in high-stress situations.
