Job summary

Tiong Nam Logistics Holdings Berhad is seeking a Software Engineer (Mechatronic) to support the development, integration, testing and maintenance of software and mechatronic systems. The role involves software programming, hardware integration, troubleshooting and automation projects within the engineering team.

Fresh graduates are welcome. You will work across software and hardware tasks, learn PLCs, microcontrollers, and sensors, and contribute to prototype development and system

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical & Electronic Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Basic knowledge of programming languages such as C, C++, Python, Java or other relevant programming languages.
• Familiarity with microcontrollers, embedded systems, sensors, actuators or automation systems will be an advantage.
• Knowledge of PLC, robotics, control systems or hardware-software integration is an added advantage.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Hands-on, proactive and willing to be involved in both software and hardware engineering tasks.
• Good communication skills and ability to work independently as well as in a team.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test and maintain software applications and programs for mechatronic systems and automation equipment.
• Support the integration of software with mechanical, electrical and electronic components.
• Assist in the design, development and implementation of automation and control systems.
• Perform system testing, debugging and troubleshooting to identify and resolve software and hardware-related issues.
• Work with sensors, actuators, controllers, motors and other electronic components for system integration.
• Participate in the development, modification and improvement of engineering prototypes and automated equipment.
• Prepare technical documentation, testing reports and system specifications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure project requirements and deadlines are met.
• Provide technical support during system installation, commissioning and maintenance when required.
