Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking a Mechanical Project Manager for a data center project in Malaysia. You will develop MEP plans aligned with goals and timelines, lead multidisciplinary teams, oversee design development, and ensure compliance with standards.

You will provide expert guidance on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, coordinate with CSA systems, manage design changes, identify and mitigate risks, and oversee commissioning and handover to the client.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
• 10 years in MEP industry, with experience managing large-scale data center projects.
• Fluency in Mandarin Chinese and English (written and spoken) is essential.

Responsibilities

• Develop MEP project plans aligned with overall goals and timelines.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams to meet project milestones.
• Oversee MEP design development and ensure compliance with standards.
• Provide expert guidance on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Ensure integration of MEP with CSA systems.
• Enforce quality assurance through audits and reviews.
• Manage design changes and assess project impacts.
• Identify and mitigate MEP-related risks.
• Act as main contact for MEP coordination and communication.
• Plan and implement commissioning for all MEP systems.
• Train client teams on MEP system operation and maintenance.
• Ensure smooth final handover of fully operational MEP systems.

• Ability to identify issues proactively and develop effective solutions in a fast-paced environment.
