Job summary

GSB NIAGA SDN BHD is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to maintain and improve the reliability and performance of mechanical equipment and systems at our facility in Malaysia. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and BEM registration, with 3–5 years of experience in mechanical maintenance.

You will plan preventive maintenance, troubleshoot, monitor equipment, and coordinate with technicians.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience in mechanical maintenance is an advantage.
• Knowledge of pumps, motors, compressors, bearings, valves, and other mechanical equipment.
• Candidates must possess a valid registration as a Graduate Engineer with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM)

Responsibilities

• Plan and perform preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Troubleshoot mechanical equipment breakdowns and identify root causes.
• Monitor equipment condition and performance.
• Coordinate maintenance work with technicians, contractors, and other departments.
• Prepare maintenance reports and records.
• Ensure maintenance activities comply with safety and company procedures.
• Recommend improvements to reduce downtime and maintenance costs.
