Job summary

PGEO Edible Oils Sdn Bhd in Pasir Gudang, Malaysia, is seeking an experienced Fitter to maintain and repair mechanical equipment in our plant, ensuring smooth and safe operations.

The role focuses on pumps, motors and other machinery, with a requirement for a diploma or certificate in mechanical field and 2–3 years in plant maintenance. Candidates with palm oil processing exposure are preferred; OT may be required.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Certificate of Competency in Mechanical field from Polytechnic, ILP, Giat MARA or recognized institution
• Minimum 2 to 3 years' experience in plant maintenance, pump repair and mechanical work
• Experience in palm oil processing industry is an advantage
• Knowledge and experience in preventive maintenance
• Proficient in maintenance and repair work on pumps and mechanical equipment
• Responsible, disciplined and possess good leadership skills
• Willing to work overtime (OT) when required

Responsibilities

• Carry out maintenance and repair work on pumps, motors and other mechanical equipment
• Implement preventive maintenance activities according to the established schedule
• Identify and resolve mechanical equipment-related issues
• Ensure all maintenance work complies with safety procedures and company standards
• Support factory operations by ensuring equipment is in good condition and functioning optimally
