Job summary

IOI Corporation in Segamat, Malaysia recruits a Maintenance Fitter to perform preventive maintenance, assist autonomous maintenance, and support installation works, liaising with external contractors. You will fabricate, layout, align and fit parts, and troubleshoot machinery while ensuring 5S and DOSH safety standards are maintained.

You will also provide technical support for breakdowns, specify parts as needed, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives under Kaizen and team

Qualifications

• Able to perform MIG/TIG welding and troubleshooting mechanical systems.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with ability to select appropriate tools.
• Familiar with Kaisen/continuous improvement mindset.

Responsibilities

• Carry out preventive maintenance according to plans and schedules.
• Assist and participate in autonomous maintenance.
• Assist in installation, supervise and liaise with external contractors.
• Fabricate, layout, position, align and fit machinery/parts.
• Maintain, troubleshoot and repair machinery and equipment.
• Manage and be responsible for all machines at plant facility.
• Able to perform gas cutting and arc welding.
• Provide technical support for breakdowns in production area.
• Specify requirements for mechanical parts and items.
• Maintain 5S in the workplace and DOSH safety standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Department Head.
