Job summary

Thong Industries Berhad is seeking a fresh graduate in Mechanical or Electronic Engineering to oversee the installation and maintenance of wrapping machines at production sites. You will test, calibrate and commission equipment, ensure compliance with safety standards and provide hands-on technical support.

You will work with production, electrical, and quality teams to optimize performance, document procedures and coordinate with suppliers for parts and upgrades.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in mechanical or electronic engineering or a related field.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Willingness to work with teams across different time zones; good communication in English and Mandarin.

Responsibilities

• Oversee installation and setup of wrapping machines at sites.
• Conduct machine testing, calibration and commissioning.
• Ensure machines operate according to specifications and safety standards.
• Provide technical support for troubleshooting mechanical issues on wrapping machines.
• Analyze machine failures and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance plans to reduce downtime.
• Identify opportunities to improve machine performance, productivity and cost efficiency.
• Prepare technical documentation, including manuals and reports.
• Maintain records of machine modifications, repairs and performance.
• Assist in preparing technical proposals and reports for management.
• Work with production, electrical engineers and quality teams to ensure smooth operation.
• Coordinate with suppliers/vendors for parts and upgrades.
• Support project timelines and ensure deliverables on schedule.
