Job summary

Array Metal (M) Sdn Berhad is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our R&D function and own product development from concept to certified, production-ready design for EPC and industrial customers globally. This role centers on solving real engineering problems that shape what gets manufactured, tested, and shipped.

You will lead design using 3D CAD (SolidWorks), research materials and methods, and translate market requirements into manufacturable solutions, collaborating across teams to

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field.
• Hands-on fabrication experience with sheet metal, welding, or machining.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks or other major CAD software.

Responsibilities

• Lead R&D to design and develop new products from concept to production-ready drawings.
• Research materials, methods, and standards to improve performance and cost-efficiency.
• Translate customer requirements into manufacturable engineering solutions.
• Design and build testing jigs, fixtures, and validation setups.
• Prepare detailed drawings, fabrication docs, and installation guides.
• Drive continuous improvement for manufacturability, performance, and quality.
• Benchmark competitors to identify differentiation opportunities.
• Provide technical support to Production, Sales, and Customers during design and install.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to move designs from prototype to production.
