Job summary

Wentel Engineering Sdn. Bhd. is seeking an Engineer (Mechanical) to design, analyze, and improve metal fabrication projects, working with the Operations team to develop cost-effective production processes.

Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering; fresh graduates welcome; 2–5 years sheet metal experience preferred, with CAD proficiency (SolidWorks/AutoCAD) and strong problem-solving.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent experience in the manufacturing engineering field, required.
• Fresh graduate is encouraged to apply.
• 2-5 years of experience in sheet metal fabrication manufacturing environment will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Plan, conceptualize, and create mechanical designs for new products.
• Create and review technical drawings and specifications, and design jigs and fixtures.
• Drive process standardization and improvement.
• Contact with customers and suppliers to ensure quality standards for machinery and products.
• Perform design using SolidWorks and calculate tolerances for processes (e.g., bending, CNC).
• Organize and prioritize projects and tasks effectively and timely.
• Develop cost-effective production processes for new projects in coordination with Operations.
• Collaborate with Operations to ensure successful production processes.
