Job summary

IMA Automation Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking a hands-on Electrical Assembly Technician to support electrical assembly, wiring, and installation of customised automation machines. You will work with Electrical and Mechanical Engineers to ensure components are installed and tested per drawings.

Responsibilities include wiring, control panels, sensors, cables, testing, FAT, and site commissioning when required. Fresh graduates are welcome; travel domestically and internationally may be needed.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of relevant experience in electrical assembly, machine wiring, or industrial automation preferred.
• Fresh graduates or candidates with relevant technical training encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical assembly and wiring according to electrical schematics and engineering drawings.
• Install electrical components, control panels, sensors, motors, cables, connectors, and other electrical devices.
• Carry out cable routing, termination, labelling, and wiring of electrical systems.
• Assist in machine testing, troubleshooting, and resolving electrical issues during assembly and fine-tuning stages.
• Work with Electrical Engineers, Mechanical Engineers, and other team members to complete assembly per project schedules.
• Support machine testing, commissioning, and FAT.
• Assist with electrical installation and commissioning at customer sites when required.
• Ensure all electrical assembly work meets safety requirements and quality standards.

Job description

We are looking for a hands-on and detail-oriented Electrical Assembly Technician to support the electrical assembly, wiring, and installation of customised automation machines and equipment. The successful candidate will work closely with the Electrical Engineering and Assembly teams to ensure all electrical components are installed, wired, and tested according to technical drawings and specifications.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform electrical assembly and wiring of customised automation machines and equipment according to electrical schematics and engineering drawings.
• Install electrical components, control panels, sensors, motors, cables, connectors, and other electrical devices.
• Carry out cable routing, termination, labelling, and wiring of electrical systems.
• Assist in machine testing, troubleshooting, and resolving electrical issues during the assembly and fine-tuning stages.
• Work closely with Electrical Engineers, Mechanical Engineers, and other assembly team members to complete machine assembly according to project schedules.
• Support machine testing, commissioning, and Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT).
• Assist with electrical installation and commissioning at customer sites when required.
• Ensure all electrical assembly work complies with safety requirements and quality standards.

Job Qualifications:

• Certificate, Diploma, or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Electronics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 1-3 years of relevant experience in electrical assembly, machine wiring, or industrial automation is preferred.
• Fresh graduates or candidates with relevant technical training are also encouraged to apply.
• Ability to read and understand electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.
• Hands-on experience in electrical wiring, cable termination, control panel assembly, and installation will be an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of electrical components, sensors, motors, and control systems.
• Good troubleshooting skills, willingness to learn, and ability to work in a team.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally when required.
