Job summary

Flex is seeking a Materials Planning Manager located in Prai, Penang, to develop, direct and coordinate material planning activities. This role aims to balance supply and demand to enhance customer service levels.

The ideal candidate will have 8+ years in materials sourcing or supply chain design/management, with manufacturing and OEM development experience. A strong cost accounting understanding is valued. Comprehensive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of materials sourcing, commodity management or supply chain design/management.
• Manufacturing background is advantageous.
• Understanding of cost accounting, electronic component markets, price trends and technologies.
• Background in electronics manufacturing and OEM product development process.

Responsibilities

• Directs the team in the use of best practices in finished goods and WIP planning.
• Manages, coaches and mentors a team.
• Works with the team on continuous development and performance management.
• Directs activities of Planners to meet inventory and turn goals and reduce backorders.
• Leads cross-functional meetings to review the Supply and Demand plan.
• Reviews issues and makes recommendations for long-term constraints and backlog.
