Job summary

PERSOL Malaysia is seeking a Purchaser (Junior/Senior) for a metal/plastic industry role. You will provide materials support for ongoing production and liaise with the Production Planner on requisitions and PO issuance.

You will review long lead time items for confirmed orders, release POs by ERP shortage reports, and follow up on confirmations, backlog and open POs. The role requires 2 years in manufacturing and a Diploma/ Degree in a related field.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years relevant working experience in manufacturing, preferably metal or plastic industry.
• Salary negotiable based on experiences.

Responsibilities

• Provide materials support for on-going production.
• Liaise with Production Planner on materials requisitions and the issuance of purchase order (PO).
• Review long lead time items for confirmed customer’s orders and releasing orders accordingly.
• Release purchase orders for planner materials by ERP shortage report.
• Follow up on PO confirmation, backlog and open PO.
• Responsible to prepare monthly materials status report and feedback exceptions to Manager.
• Perform physical goods receiving and system receiving; generate incoming inspection reports for sub-out order.
• Attend to the any other duties as assigned to you by superior.
