Job summary

Confidential Company in Malaysia seeks an experienced Materials Coordinator to support Field Engineering and procurement on oil and gas projects. You will coordinate daily material activities, manage receiving, inspections, and handovers to fabrication, and interface with Client Yard Teams to ensure accurate documentation and timely inspections.

The role requires 5+ years in the oil and gas sector, with 3+ years handling project materials and vendor relations.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years in Oil and Gas industry, with 3+ years onshore/offshore construction projects.
Experience dealing with vendors/subcontractors for materials.

Responsibilities

Assist Field Engineer and procurement on project materials (TEC: Tools/Equipment/Consumables).
Coordinate daily activities for project materials: receiving, issuing, inspection, handover to fabrication.
Interface with Client’s Yard Team on material receipt, checking and inspection.
Inspect materials on receipt to ensure PO/DO alignment with supporting documents.
Communicate with Client Yard Team before inspection requests.
Prepare MRIR for Client review and approval.
Arrange DTSSB QC Team and Client QC for quality checks (physical, dimensional, technical).
Notify FE & Procurement of discrepancies or rejections after inspection.
Secure and store project materials accordingly.
Update Masterlist Material Inventory Log (MMIL) for received/issued materials, or when sending offshore.
Pack materials (completed fabrication or loose) and prepare packing list before mobilising offshore.
Maintain hard copy and electronic documentation.
Assist Client Yard Team for monthly project materials inventory audits.
