Job summary

Randstad Malaysia is seeking Material & Production Planning professionals across all levels to drive end-to-end material flow, master production scheduling, and supply network resilience in KL/Selangor, Johor, and Penang.

You will manage MPS/MRP, ensure material availability, and collaborate with sourcing, purchasing, warehouse, and production teams to resolve bottlenecks in high-mix environments. Senior roles may lead regional planning teams and capacity expansion.

Qualifications

• 2 to 10+ years of hands-on experience in material planning, production control, supply scheduling, or inventory management.
• Proven expertise with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel modeling for demand/supply balancing.
• Strong understanding of BOM structures, ECO, lead-time optimization, and vendor performance monitoring.
• Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations, or related technical discipline.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end Master Production Scheduling (MPS) and Material Requirements Planning (MRP) to ensure seamless shop-floor execution and high line-clearance.
• Oversee material availability, shortage tracking, and inventory control strategies to balance lead times against customer delivery targets.
• Collaborate closely with strategic sourcing, purchasing, warehouse, and production operations to resolve supply bottlenecks in high-mix manufacturing setups.
• Establish key planning metrics (OOT, OTIF, inventory turns) and lead continuous improvement initiatives across material control workflows.
• For Senior/Managerial roles: Lead regional planning teams, drive capacity expansion programs, and optimize multi-site inventory strategies.
