Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a capable Material Planner to forecast material and film needs, plan raw materials, and ensure stock readiness for production. You will manage purchasing activities and coordinate with suppliers locally and overseas on pricing and delivery schedules.

The role requires strong planning, analytical and communication skills, with experience in material planning or related fields advantageous.

Qualifications

Diploma or degree in supply chain, logistics, business administration, manufacturing or related field.
Experience in material planning, purchasing, inventory or supply chain is an advantage.
Strong planning, analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good communication and coordination with suppliers and internal departments.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; manufacturing experience is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

Prepare material and film forecasts based on customer requirements and production demand.
Plan and monitor raw material requirements, inventory levels and stock movements.
Ensure warehouse material readiness and availability for production.
Handle purchasing activities, including quotation, PO issuance and delivery follow-up.
Liaise with local and overseas suppliers on pricing, availability and delivery schedules.
Coordinate with Production, QA and Accounts on material planning, purchasing and new material development.
Maintain proper documentation and support internal/external audit requirements.
