Job summary

Teradyne Inc. in Penang, Malaysia is seeking a Material Planner to manage MRP analysis, PO release and supplier coordination for an on-site contract manufacturing site. The role focuses on timely PO processing, expediting, and resolving PO-related issues to support efficient supply chain operations.

The ideal candidate has strong MRP knowledge, related planning experience, and excellent English communication skills. Local candidates only; visa sponsorship is not offered.

Responsibilities

• MRP result analysis and timely PO release.
• PO release, PO management, expediting, de-expediting and cancellation per weekly MPR result.
• Monitor shortages and escalate to Commodity management for recovery plans.
• Address PO related issues (PPV, shipping/receiving, AP problems) and process RMA if supplier quality issues.
• Handle ECNs, communicate ECN changes with suppliers and monitor impact.
• Support HVM planning teams across Asia.

Opportunity Overview

• Responsible for MRP result analysis, understand weekly MRP planned buy message, release PO in timely manner.
• In charge of PO release, PO management, expediting, de-expediting and Cancellation per weekly MPR result.
• Be on top of any critical shortages, follow escalation process to address issues to Commodity management team for speedy recover plan.
• Be on top of any PO related issues as PPV, shipping& receiving, accounts payable problems and process RMA in case run into any Supplier quality issues.
• In charge of ECNs, communicate ECN changes with Supplier, evaluation material impact, and monitor the future cut in of ECNs.
• Any other tasks assigned by manager to support HVM planning teams across Asia base.

All About You

• Bachelor of Arts (BA) and Bachelor of Science (BS) is preferred.
• Related material planner experience, Strong understanding of MRP logic, related purchasing skills PO release, PO management, Supplier management.
• Experienced dealing with ECNs of complex products is a plus.
• Demonstrates flexibility, work effectively in a team environment.
• Maintain strong attention to details and able to deliver good results.
• Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal)
