Job summary

DF Integrated (M) Sdn. Bhd., a Penang-based cable assemblies and wire harness manufacturer, is seeking a Material Planner to coordinate material planning activities and ensure a smooth supply of raw materials.

You will work with buyers, production, sales, and operations to minimize inventory while meeting production schedules. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in material planning in manufacturing, with a Diploma/Degree in Electrical Engineering.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in material planning in a production manufacturing environment.
• Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized university or equivalent.
• Electronics Manufacturing experience will be desired.

Responsibilities

• Review material orders based on customer demand, create and plan, integrate resources and requirements, and assess resource status.
• Coordinate with the Buyer to ensure a smooth supply of raw materials to avoid line-down situations.
• Organize material requisition plans and master production schedules based on order requirements.
• Work with customers and advise (OOR), Open order report, etc.
• Monitor raw material delivery status and inventory, improve inventory turnover, and reduce inventory of raw materials, semi-finished, and finished goods.
• Collaborate with the buyer, production, sales and operations teams to drive for low inventory and meet management targets.
• Compute the amount of material required to complete job orders.
• Manage ECO (Engineering Change Order) implementation as needed to load demands.
• Ensure material and finished goods liability is properly covered by customer PO; facilitate quarterly inventory counts and notify the Production Planning Manager of critical movements.
