Job summary

Plexus Manufacturing Sdn Bhd is seeking a procurement and demand planning professional to execute procurement activities in line with customer expectations across multiple market sectors. You will collaborate with Program Management to analyze demand, generate production plans, and ensure timely material availability.

This role emphasizes proactive planning, negotiation, and problem solving. Ideal candidates hold a Diploma or Bachelor’s degree with at least two years in procurement or materials

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in any disciplinary or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years’ working experience in procurement, materials planning or related fields.
• Good communication skills and proficient in English.
• Proactive problem solving, follow up and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze customer demand with Program Management to enable inventory management and procurement decisions.
• Create and maintain Master Production Schedules (MPS) and generate MRP; mitigate disruptions to production and customer service.
• Manage demand planning metrics, review customer demands, and release MRP for processing.
• Drive MRP load vs revenue targets and manage customer demand and contract changes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement contingency plans for changes or crises.

Job description

Responsible for the procurement execution of assigned goods and services in accordance with the quality, delivery and pricing expectations of customers for Industrial / Commercial / Communications / Healthcare / Life Sciences / Aerospace / Defense market sectors, as is detailed in Purchasing SOP's and WI's.

Key Job Accountabilities:

• In collaborations with Program Management; analyze Customer demand to enable effective inventory management, production scheduling, customer satisfaction and procurement decisions.
• Create and analyze what-if scenarios to simulate the impact to Plexus based on various demand changes and unified plan.
• Create and maintain Master Production Schedules (MPS) and generate Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and proactively mitigate potential disruptions to production efficiency and customer satisfaction.
• Highlight and escal... with regard to product delivery.
• Able to resolve challenges through standard policies and procedures with general guidance.

Demand Planning Execution

• Ensure all demand planning metrics are updated and maintained
• Review all customer demands prior to entry into ERP system and release MRP for processing
• Maintain the work order schedule and release work orders based on materials and capacity availability with feedback from purchasing and planner

Demand Planning Control

• Drive and ensure MRP load vs. revenue commit targets/threshold is strictly adhered to
• Management of Customer Demand
• Analyze and timely update demand changes per customer contract
• Monitor work order schedule and update customer focus team of potential challenges in meeting customer demand
• Managing customer product change e.g.. ECN, product end of life on timely manner
• Work collaboratively with various functional teams to ensure contingency plans are in place to deal with changes/crisis situations-Any task assigned by management.

Job Requirements:

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in any disciplinary or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 year's working experience in the related field such as those has working experience as Procurement Officer / Materials Planning / Tactical Purchaser / Technical Buyer / Purchasing executive / Supply Chain executive.
• Good communication skills and proficient in English.
• Proactive problem solving, follow up and negotiation skills.
