Job summary

Jabil in Penang, Malaysia, seeks an experienced Production Planner to manage all planning activities for the dedicated workcell and to mentor the Production Planners and Document Coordinators on the shop floor. You will own the Master Production Schedule (MPS), load it into the ERP system, ensure 100% on-time delivery, establish build readiness, and maintain accurate forecasting and capacity planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of related experience, or a Master’s with 3 years of related experience, or PhD without experience.
• APICS Certification preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of MRP, lead times for specific component types, internal run rates, test development lead times, machine programming lead times and complete understanding of the chronological sequence of events that must occur in order to build a product.
• Or an equivalent combination of education, training, or experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure 100% on-time delivery.
• Establish build readiness.
• Develop Master Production Schedule (MPS) and load into ERP system, including PO coverage.
• Reconcile the MPS to customer PO coverage weekly.
• Ensure the MPS is 100% accurate and achievable.
• Lead the Workcell on the creation of Bills of Material (BOMs) and routings for accurate tracking of WIP and inventory movements.
• End-of-Life (EOL) management and purge processes.
• Adhere to safety and security policies.
