Job summary

Seamaster Paint (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd is looking for an organised Marketing Assistant to support the Marketing Manager in coordinating and executing day-to-day marketing activities. You will assist with campaigns, content, events, reporting, and administrative tasks to ensure marketing projects are delivered accurately and on time.

Your role involves coordinating timelines, creating content, handling materials, assisting at events, and conducting market research to inform strategy.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field preferred.
• Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with social media platforms and basic digital marketing activities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace; familiarity with Canva or similar design tools is an advantage.
• A proactive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Support marketing campaigns: Assist the Marketing Manager with the preparation, coordination, and execution of marketing campaigns, promotions, and product launches.
• Coordinate project timelines: Maintain marketing calendars and task trackers, follow up on outstanding deliverables, and flag potential delays.
• Assist with content creation: Draft and proofread social media captions, email newsletters, website updates, and promotional materials for review and approval.
• Coordinate marketing materials: Work with designers, agencies, printers, and suppliers to prepare and deliver marketing assets according to approved briefs and deadlines.
• Support events and exhibitions: Assist with registrations, promotional materials, supplier coordination, logistics, on-site arrangements, and post-event follow-up.
• Conduct market research: Gather information on competitors, customer preferences, and market trends, and summarise relevant findings for the Marketing Manager.
• Prepare performance reports: Compile campaign, social media, website, and email marketing results into regular reports.
• Maintain marketing resources: Keep product information, presentations, image libraries, contact databases, and shared marketing files organised and up to date.
• Provide administrative support: Assist with meeting notes, quotations, purchase requests, invoice tracking, and other marketing-related documentation.
• Coordinate with internal teams: Follow up with sales and other departments to obtain information, consolidate feedback, and support marketing deliverables.
• Undertake other marketing-related tasks as assigned by the Marketing Manager.
