Job summary

Menara Maxis seeks a Market Planning Intern to support enterprise market planning, performance reporting, and business case evaluation. You will work with cross-functional teams to analyze market data, prepare dashboards, and contribute to commercial decision-making in a fast-paced environment.

The role offers hands-on exposure to market strategy development, performance insights, and preparation of materials for internal reviews. Up to 6 months, starting from November, based in Kuala Lumpur.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret business performance metrics.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to use formulas and basic automation to improve reporting efficiency.
• Interest in financial metrics, market planning, and business case development.
• Well-organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain monthly market planning performance dashboards, ensuring timely reporting of key metrics.
• Support post-implementation reviews (PIRs) by developing analysis of business case outcomes.
• Coordinate network and segment feedback on commercial justifications and feasibility.
• Assist with ad-hoc analysis and reporting to support market strategy formulation.
• Maintain documentation related to market planning analysis, reviews, and reporting.

Market Performance Reporting & Dashboards*** Prepare and maintain **monthly market planning performance dashboards**, ensuring timely and accurate reporting of key business metrics.* Support data consolidation and validation to ensure reporting quality and consistency.* Assist in improving reporting efficiency through structured templates and analytical tools.**2. Business Case Analysis & Review*** Support **post-implementation reviews (PIRs)** by developing analysis to evaluate business case outcomes.* Assist Market Planners in assessing financial performance against initial assumptions.* Contribute insights to support continuous improvement in commercial decision-making.**3. Stakeholder Coordination & Commercial Assessment*** Support Market Planners in coordinating **network and segment feedback** on commercial justifications.* Assist in consolidating network assessments and segment inputs to evaluate business case feasibility.* Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to support alignment on market and network considerations.**4.
