Job summary

Inchcape Shipping Services in Malaysia is seeking a Customer Service professional to join our Enquiry Management team. You will act as the first point of contact, handling enquiries within SLA and coordinating with local offices to prepare PDAs.

You will build and maintain relationships with clients and internal stakeholders, ensuring accurate information, timely responses, and smooth handovers to operations, while developing your career in the maritime industry.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of port operations.
• Working knowledge of CRM systems.
• Competent with MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and problem solving.
• Experience in marine/shipping service industry.
• 1–2 years experience in Customer Service.

Responsibilities

• Respond to enquiries within the SLA and create a PDA.
• Communicate with customers to establish precise requirements.
• Refer to port details and liaise with local offices to source PDA information.
• Follow up on PDAs within SLA and obtain customer feedback.
• Track and monitor enquiries in the system.
• Monitor port call communication and address pending issues.
• Hand over business won to local office for operations planning.
• Meet clients face to face occasionally to develop relationships.
• Build sustainable relationships with customers and internal parties.
• Liaise with multiple stakeholders to ensure timely response.
