Job summary

Inventec Appliances (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. in Penang is seeking a software engineer to develop, modify, and maintain automated manufacturing test software for production lines. You will design test flows, create test functions, and validate them against product specs and test requirements.

You will also maintain and optimize production test software for mass production, troubleshoot issues, and plan test environments. Collaboration with R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, and Factory teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Information Management, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or related field.
• Proficiency in C#, C++, Python, or Tcl as core languages.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with ability to independently develop test software.
• Good English skills for technical documentation and cross-functional collaboration.
• Experience supporting factory production and on-site issue resolution preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, modify, and maintain automated manufacturing test software for production lines.
• Design test flows, develop test functions, and validate against specifications.
• Maintain and optimize production test software for mass production; troubleshoot issues.
• Plan, deploy, and maintain manufacturing test environments and tools.
• Analyze and resolve integration issues among software, firmware, hardware, and test equipment.
• Collaborate with R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, and Factory teams to drive improvements.
• Support NPI, pilot runs, and mass production ramp-up; develop data collection tools.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation including test specs and release records.
