Job summary

IFF, a global leader in flavors, fragrances, food ingredients and health & biosciences, is recruiting for a safety and compliance-focused role based in Penang, Malaysia (onsite). You will support EHSQ and food safety initiatives, assist in staff development, cost controls, and production KPIs while contributing to continuous improvement across the plant.

The successful candidate will hold a Diploma in Food Technology or related discipline, have knowledge of GMP/HACCP, and be comfortable working

Qualifications

• Diploma in Food Technology, Engineering, or related discipline; equivalent experience considered.
• Fresh graduates encouraged to apply.
• Knowledge of EHSQ standards, GMP, HACCP, and food safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with EHSQ and Food Safety management systems; meet regulatory requirements and best practices.
• Promote safe practices by supporting hazard identification, incident reporting, and investigations; assist in implementing safety programs like WALK, HIRA, LSR, and EASI.
• Support environmental initiatives by understanding and applying environmentally safe processes and practices in daily operations.
• Assist in staff development, including onboarding, training, and performance reviews; contribute to creating a flexible and skilled workforce.
• Manage operating costs by supporting cost control measures, reducing rework, and leading area-level cost-saving projects.
• Support production operations by ensuring adherence to SOPs, GMP, HACCP, and 5S principles; assist in meeting production schedules and KPIs.
• Contribute to project activities, including Management of Change (MOC), equipment training, and post-project reviews for continuous improvement.
• Handle administrative tasks, such as investigating complaints, managing corrective actions, and supporting halal certification and continuous improvement programs.
