Job summary

Gi Teng Industry (M) Sdn Bhd in Penang is seeking a production supervisor with relevant manufacturing experience. You will lead production operators, manage daily activities, and ensure adherence to SOPs and safety standards.

The role involves mould setup and changeovers, basic machine maintenance, and coordinating with technicians to resolve issues. Excellent communication and hands-on approach are essential, with flexibility to work overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience in manufacturing or production operations.
• Experience in leading production operators or managing shop-floor activities.
• Experience in mould setup, mould change or machine operation.
• Basic mechanical knowledge and good hands-on ability.
• Willing to learn machine maintenance and basic troubleshooting.
• Experience in silicone rubber, rubber, plastic injection moulding or compression moulding.
• Responsible with good communication skills.
• Able to work overtime and support production requirements when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Arrange and follow up on daily production activities.
• Lead production operators to complete work according to the production schedule and SOPs.
• Manage manpower allocation, production output and product quality.
• Handle general production issues and worker-related matters on the production floor.
• Assist with mould installation, mould removal and mould changeover.
• Assist with new product and new mould trials.
• Adjust basic production parameters according to product conditions.
• Carry out daily machine inspection, cleaning and basic maintenance.
• Troubleshoot simple and general machine problems.
• Coordinate with machine suppliers or external technicians for complex machine or mould issues.
• Complete production, mould change, trial run and machine maintenance records.
• Maintain workplace safety, discipline and 5S standards.
