Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an Industrial Engineer to lead manufacturing layout optimization and site readiness for new facilities. You will coordinate with contractors, architects, and suppliers to ensure production readiness and efficient material flow.

The role requires 5+ years in industrial engineering within manufacturing, with strong knowledge of lean methods and project management. A Bachelor's in a relevant field is required; a Master's is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Master's degree is advantageous.
• 5+ years industrial engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience supporting facility construction, expansion, relocation, or fit-out projects is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated experience with facility layout design, production planning, and process optimization.
• Experience working with contractors, architects, engineering consultants, and project teams.
• Exposure to manufacturing equipment installation and commissioning activities.
• Experience with CNC Machining and Cleanroom Assembly is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize manufacturing layouts to maximize productivity, safety, material flow, and space utilization.
• Analyze production processes and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
• Conduct workflow studies, capacity planning, line balancing, and labor utilization analysis.
• Establish manufacturing standards, work instructions, and process documentation.
• Support Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Perform time studies and productivity assessments to establish operational benchmarks.
• Collaborate with production, quality, maintenance, and supply chain teams to improve manufacturing performance.
• Support equipment selection, installation, qualification, and validation activities.
• Industrial Engineering responsibilities across site fit-out coordination and project management.
